We have some BIG news! Better late than never!

Canon is going to be a big brother! Baby Justice (our 4th baby boy) will be here sometime in May of 2013! We are so excited and still a little shocked! I am 17 weeks right now and everything is going pretty well. I am taking progesterone shots to prevent preterm labor and will continue to take them until my 36th week of pregnancy. I know I haven't updated in forever but things are going great for us and we are doing well.  Canon turned 1 on the 28th of December and is such a ham.  His first birthday party was Mickey Mouse Club House themed and we had such a great time.  Canon on the other hand, hated his cake, didn't want to play with the other kids, and was pretty fussy.  He has been sick off and on for the past two weeks or so with ear infections, stuffy nose, and fever so I guess we were asking a lot of him at his party. I can't believe that my baby is 1 and growing so much every day. He has changed our lives for the better and we can't imagine a day without him!

I tried to add more pictures but the computer, like always won't cooperate, so this is all I have for today!

A Few Pictures

Sweet boy loves bath time

We are still here and doing well and everything is still about the same! Canon is pretty much crawling and can now play pat a cake by him self and wave bye.  He really amazes us more  and more every day.  We went for his nine month check up the other day and he was in the 50th % for weight and the 95th for height.  Our boy is going to be a tall one.

We got canon's first Halloween costume and he is going to be a dinosaur.  We can't wait to take him to our local Prairie Street Prowl.  We are pretty excited.  I'm sure he will think were nuts for putting that crazy get up on him but we will enjoy it.  I'll be sure to upload some pictures of our little dino.

Sorry to bore you guys but like I always say, not very much changes in our life.  I feel like we get up each day and do pretty much the same thing over and over! Hopefully pretty soon I'll have something more interesting to talk about!

Same Ole, Same Ole

Sweetest LOVE

Ready for church

Our family is doing well!  Canon is going on 9 months old and amazes us more and more each day.  He is jabbering all the time now, sitting up well, and trying to figure this crawling thing out. He is perfect to us and has the sweetest personality.  Our love for him continues to grow each passing day.
I have decided to do his first birthday, Mickey Mouse Club House theme.  He loves Mickey and cackles when he heres him sing.  I am so excited that he is growing up and learning new things every day.  I was concerned that he would lag a little behind being a 34 weeker but he is mastering all the tasks that he should at this point.  Not much has changed lately and I find it hard to update since our daily life tends to repeat the same thing every day.  I guess this is a good thing though because we are continuing to do great. God continues to bless our family and we are so thankful.

Just Another Day...

Hey guys, how is every one doing? Canon, Trent, and I are doing well.  Not very much has been going on since our last post.  Were still just spending our days playing and eating and playing some more.  Canon is growing so fast and I can't seem to remember his first days. He is going on eight months now and is now sitting up like a big boy and wanting so bad to scoot but still can't quite figure it out.
All of my friends tell me that the days get easier as your baby gets older but I am not sure this is true for us.  Canon knows how to play us now and wants constant attention.  He will sit with his arms in the air and cry if I don't pick him up. Trent fusses at me and tells me to let him cry more and not give in to him but I can't stand to see him sad.  Does any one have any ideas on how to get him to want to play more instead of being held 24/7? Don't get me wrong, I would hold him all day but there are other things that must be done such as me having a shower and washing bottles, dishes, clothes etc.  I don't know about you but I find these things pretty hard to do with an eighteen pound baby on my hip.
I find my self thinking of ideas for his first birthday party and I still can't believe that my tiny baby is closer to being one than he is a newborn.  Next thing I know, he will be going to school and not allowing me to hug and kiss him.  I wish sometimes that time would just slow down and that my baby would stay little forever.  Can you tell that I am a tad bit in love with this precious bundle?

Summer Day's

Love my boys

Canon and his best bud David Michael

Every thing is going great for Canon, Trent, and I. Canon will be 7 months old on the 28th and is getter stronger every day. He is now sitting up pretty much on his own, rolling both ways and trying to scoot.  Our hearts are so full.  We spend our days playing out side, watching Mickey Mouse Club House, playing on the floor and sometimes visiting friends. I am so glad to be able to stay home with my boy.  I cant think of a better way to spend my days than loving on him.

On another topic...Is any body else ready for some cooler weather? I hate for Canon to have to sweat to death in the back seat but I guess that's the only choice since he has to sit rear facing for so long.  I'm thinking about getting him a little kiddi pool now that he can pretty much sit up...I know he would love to splash.

Days of our lives

How is everyone doing? We've been good.  Trent is traveling so much for work now and Canon and I are trying to get used to that.  He has never had to travel  and now he is gone at least once or twice every two weeks and then has been flying out almost once a month for trips.
Canon will be seven months old next week. I can't believe how fast time flies and how big he is getting.  My love for him grows stronger every day, if that's even imaginable.  He is our world. He has been such a good baby and makes our days so much happier.  He now weighs around 17 pounds and is 28 inches long. The Dr. said he's in the 30th % for weight and the 50% for height. It's hard to believe that he's not that 5 lb. 9 oz. baby boy any more, that we left the NICU with.  God continues to do amazing things in our lives and we are forever grateful.

So much has been going on with us in the last few months but I can't find the time to update enough.  Trents brother got married in May, Canon is apnea monitor free, We moved to a new house, my three year anniversary is this week etc etc.....I promise I will take the time one day soon to tell you about Canon's big arrival, yeah yeah, I know it's only seven months late.

Happy boy in the mornings

Happy 4th Everybody...

Hi friends.  It has been quite a while since I have updated.  Canon is doing great and we received the best news last week.  He no longer has to wear the apnea monitor.  We got the good news on the day he turned 6 months old.  Needless, to say we are relieved but also a little worried since we are so used to "plugging him up every night".  He now sleeps with a Snuza that clips to his diaper which gives us a little more comfort.  The past few months have been full of doctors appt's, which keeps us going all the time but they are now coming to an end, since he has a clean bill of healh. Thanks for all the prayers and to everyone who still checks in on us.  I know we have been MIA for a while but my time is now filled with a precious little one.  God Bless and Happy 4th.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy , Happy mother's day to all of the mommies out there.  Today has been so very special for me.  Last year, was so difficult for my family and I.  I was a mama but not to a baby that I could watch grow. Two weeks after mother's day last year, we found out we were expecting baby number three, what a wonderful day that was.  This mother's day has been amazing.  I am heart broken because I miss Easton and Parker so much but an also filled with so much joy to have my sweet Canon here with me.  Watching him grow I am able to picture what his brothers would have looked like. Canon looks so much like what Easton did when he was born and I know God allowed this so I could picture my precious twins, even though they're not here with me. I have been trying to do better about posting but my computer fell off the couch and broke so that put an end to posting every few days.
Ive been trying to upload a few pictures but this computer will not cooperate so I will try again soon... I hope all of the mothers, soon to be mother's, and ladies who yearn to be mother's have a great day.

Long time no post...

Canon is doing well. We are so blessed to be this sweet boys parents. I have had trouble keeping up, obviously, due to so many Dr appointments. We are still going to the ENT, Pulmonologist, and the specialist in New Orleans about his apnea and hemangioma.  Canon is such a sweet boy and every day with him is better than the day before. He is our world and has our heart's completely.
Our first Easter with our sweet boy was wonderful. He was such a cutie in his little bubble suit. I really am going to try to do better keeping up. I'll leave you with a few pictures of our little ham.

Canon and his daddy at Easter.

We love our boy.

This isn't from Easter but I couldn't resist showing you.

Were still here...

We have had a jam packed few weeks.  I have been trying to find time to post but I am doing well to get every thing else accomplished that I need to in a day.  Canon is doing well.  We spent a week in Children's Hospital in New Orleans a week and a half ago due to him getting treatment for his hemangioma. He is taking a medication that is used to treat high blood pressure in adults, therefore it had to be monitored. We saw a total of probably fifteen different doctor's while there and were very impressed with there knowledge.
As of March 1st Canon stopped taking caffeine and praise the Lord the apnea machine hasn't gone off once.  We will have another sleep study when he is six months old as well as follow up with the ENT and Pulmonologist on a regular basis to keep everything with the apnea and hemangioma in check.
Canon is such a sweet boy and he has us completely wrapped around his little finger.  Our hearts are definitely over flowing.  Let me leave you with a few pictures of our sweet one.

Long Overdue Update...

It's been a while since I have sat down and taken the time to update you guys.  We've been pretty busy lately, if you can imagine ( a little more busy than we would like to be).  We are going to the doctor on average twice a week.  I am not sure if I mentioned before but Canon has a hemangioma on the front of his neck.  Usually they are a small red birth mark that can double and even triple in size by the time the baby is nine months old.  Canon's began as two tiny, red, flat dots and has more than quadrupled in size and is now raised and growing bigger every few days. His is called a compound hemangioma due to the fact that it is not only growing on the outside but the inside also.  This is cause for concern since it is right in front of his airway. Most hemangioma's go away by the time the child is two and for sure by the time they are ten, therefore doctor's usually elect to let them grow larger then shrink again on there own.  We thought this was exactly what we would do until we were faced with the fact that it could possibly begin pushing on his airway.  With him having apnea already this could be a HUGE ordeal. We were told that an ENT in the Monroe area would check on it for us and maybe do an MRI and then we would see a specialist in the next weeks or months...This was last  Thursday.  I got a call Friday telling me that no doctor's in the area would look at him or even begin to treat him due to his age and their lack of expertise dealing with hemangioma's.  We are now being sent to New Orleans with hopes that the ENT there can figure out some sort of treatment to shrink it or at least tell us that we shouldn't be worried, if not we will be sent to Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. We were assured that Dr. Miller, in New Orleans has dealt with this sort of thing numerous times and should be able to again.
On a different note, Canon had his last dose of caffeine on March 1st. It has been nerve racking to say the least. We keep him on his monitor all the times to be sure he is still breathing.  He should have another sleep study within the next two weeks or so when we get back from New Orleans.  Other than these two issue's and a few tummy troubles he is doing GREAT and growing to be a big boy. At our last doctor's appt. he was 10 lbs. 10 oz. and 22 1/2 inches long. At birth he was 6 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches long. He is quite the chunk and so sweet.  I want to eventually tell you about the night he was born but that's a long story in itself.  It was a pretty big surprise to have him arrive so quickly when we thought we had 6 weeks left.  Please keep praying for our little man and I will let you know how his appt. goes in New Orleans next week.

Valentine's Love!

Valentine's Day was great for Canon, Trent, and I.  Canon and I had lunch at Trent's grandmother's with my mother in law and then for supper, we went with my mom to her friend's house for steak.  Trent got me the "C" pendent for my necklace and it brought back lots of memories.  He did a great job picking out my gift and knew just what I needed to make my Valentine's Day special.
Right after Trent and I lost the twins my best friend Lindsay S. got me the most special necklace. I am not sure if I have mentioned it on here before but ever since I got it, I have rarely taken if off.  Even when I think I should wear different jewelery to match my earrings etc. I just can't change the necklace.  Anyway back to what it looks like; there are two circular pendant's with two very little special initials on them. The is the "E" for Easton and the "P" for Parker.  Between the boy's initials is a tiny piece hanging down that says believe.  This necklace has meant so much to me over the past year and I always would tell myself, if I just believed, that I knew I would one day have another baby...A healthy baby this time.  I never knew how soon it would be. My necklace is complete for now because Trent got me the "C" charm, for our sweet, sweet Canon. I can't quit looking in the mirror at it.  I have three boy's...Three very special boy's, four very special boy's counting their daddy

This is how picture time started out...

Ok, Mom, I've had enough

well...Maybe just one more!

I hope you all had a great Valentine's day with your families.  I've been working on Canon's birth story. I'll try to get that posted soon.  It was pretty eventful!

Quick update on baby Canon!

Canon is doing much better.  His apnea is getting better each day.  He is now tolerating his feedings and has not stopped breathing or turned blue in days.  The apnea monitor did go off the night before last but I am pretty sure it was a false alarm.  The only thing we are having trouble with now is his little tummy.  It seems to hurt all the time and I am not really sure what to do. Hopefully his Dr. will be able to help me figure out some options.  He still takes caffeine each day and will be on it and the apnea monitor for at least another month or two.  Canon is a great baby and doesn't give me any trouble until 9:00 each night.  He thinks it is time to be awake from then until at least 2:00 a.m. We have tried our best to keep him up during the day but nothing seems to work ( not even rubbing his little head or arms with a cold wash cloth will wake him up).  He is such a blessing to us and we are growing to love him more and more each day.  Thanks for all of the continued prayers.  I'll try to do better at keeping the updates coming but the time seems to pass so quickly each day that I don't want to miss a minute with Canon.
