Days of our lives
How is everyone doing? We've been good. Trent is traveling so much for work now and Canon and I are trying to get used to that. He has never had to travel and now he is gone at least once or twice every two weeks and then has been flying out almost once a month for trips.
Canon will be seven months old next week. I can't believe how fast time flies and how big he is getting. My love for him grows stronger every day, if that's even imaginable. He is our world. He has been such a good baby and makes our days so much happier. He now weighs around 17 pounds and is 28 inches long. The Dr. said he's in the 30th % for weight and the 50% for height. It's hard to believe that he's not that 5 lb. 9 oz. baby boy any more, that we left the NICU with. God continues to do amazing things in our lives and we are forever grateful.
So much has been going on with us in the last few months but I can't find the time to update enough. Trents brother got married in May, Canon is apnea monitor free, We moved to a new house, my three year anniversary is this week etc etc.....I promise I will take the time one day soon to tell you about Canon's big arrival, yeah yeah, I know it's only seven months late.

Happy 4th Everybody...
Hi friends. It has been quite a while since I have updated. Canon is doing great and we received the best news last week. He no longer has to wear the apnea monitor. We got the good news on the day he turned 6 months old. Needless, to say we are relieved but also a little worried since we are so used to "plugging him up every night". He now sleeps with a Snuza that clips to his diaper which gives us a little more comfort. The past few months have been full of doctors appt's, which keeps us going all the time but they are now coming to an end, since he has a clean bill of healh. Thanks for all the prayers and to everyone who still checks in on us. I know we have been MIA for a while but my time is now filled with a precious little one. God Bless and Happy 4th.

Happy Mother's Day
Happy , Happy mother's day to all of the mommies out there. Today has been so very special for me. Last year, was so difficult for my family and I. I was a mama but not to a baby that I could watch grow. Two weeks after mother's day last year, we found out we were expecting baby number three, what a wonderful day that was. This mother's day has been amazing. I am heart broken because I miss Easton and Parker so much but an also filled with so much joy to have my sweet Canon here with me. Watching him grow I am able to picture what his brothers would have looked like. Canon looks so much like what Easton did when he was born and I know God allowed this so I could picture my precious twins, even though they're not here with me. I have been trying to do better about posting but my computer fell off the couch and broke so that put an end to posting every few days.
Ive been trying to upload a few pictures but this computer will not cooperate so I will try again soon... I hope all of the mothers, soon to be mother's, and ladies who yearn to be mother's have a great day.

Long time no post...
Canon is doing well. We are so blessed to be this sweet boys parents. I have had trouble keeping up, obviously, due to so many Dr appointments. We are still going to the ENT, Pulmonologist, and the specialist in New Orleans about his apnea and hemangioma. Canon is such a sweet boy and every day with him is better than the day before. He is our world and has our heart's completely.
Our first Easter with our sweet boy was wonderful. He was such a cutie in his little bubble suit. I really am going to try to do better keeping up. I'll leave you with a few pictures of our little ham.

Were still here...
We have had a jam packed few weeks. I have been trying to find time to post but I am doing well to get every thing else accomplished that I need to in a day. Canon is doing well. We spent a week in Children's Hospital in New Orleans a week and a half ago due to him getting treatment for his hemangioma. He is taking a medication that is used to treat high blood pressure in adults, therefore it had to be monitored. We saw a total of probably fifteen different doctor's while there and were very impressed with there knowledge.
As of March 1st Canon stopped taking caffeine and praise the Lord the apnea machine hasn't gone off once. We will have another sleep study when he is six months old as well as follow up with the ENT and Pulmonologist on a regular basis to keep everything with the apnea and hemangioma in check.
Canon is such a sweet boy and he has us completely wrapped around his little finger. Our hearts are definitely over flowing. Let me leave you with a few pictures of our sweet one.

Long Overdue Update...
It's been a while since I have sat down and taken the time to update you guys. We've been pretty busy lately, if you can imagine ( a little more busy than we would like to be). We are going to the doctor on average twice a week. I am not sure if I mentioned before but Canon has a hemangioma on the front of his neck. Usually they are a small red birth mark that can double and even triple in size by the time the baby is nine months old. Canon's began as two tiny, red, flat dots and has more than quadrupled in size and is now raised and growing bigger every few days. His is called a compound hemangioma due to the fact that it is not only growing on the outside but the inside also. This is cause for concern since it is right in front of his airway. Most hemangioma's go away by the time the child is two and for sure by the time they are ten, therefore doctor's usually elect to let them grow larger then shrink again on there own. We thought this was exactly what we would do until we were faced with the fact that it could possibly begin pushing on his airway. With him having apnea already this could be a HUGE ordeal. We were told that an ENT in the Monroe area would check on it for us and maybe do an MRI and then we would see a specialist in the next weeks or months...This was last Thursday. I got a call Friday telling me that no doctor's in the area would look at him or even begin to treat him due to his age and their lack of expertise dealing with hemangioma's. We are now being sent to New Orleans with hopes that the ENT there can figure out some sort of treatment to shrink it or at least tell us that we shouldn't be worried, if not we will be sent to Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. We were assured that Dr. Miller, in New Orleans has dealt with this sort of thing numerous times and should be able to again.
On a different note, Canon had his last dose of caffeine on March 1st. It has been nerve racking to say the least. We keep him on his monitor all the times to be sure he is still breathing. He should have another sleep study within the next two weeks or so when we get back from New Orleans. Other than these two issue's and a few tummy troubles he is doing GREAT and growing to be a big boy. At our last doctor's appt. he was 10 lbs. 10 oz. and 22 1/2 inches long. At birth he was 6 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches long. He is quite the chunk and so sweet. I want to eventually tell you about the night he was born but that's a long story in itself. It was a pretty big surprise to have him arrive so quickly when we thought we had 6 weeks left. Please keep praying for our little man and I will let you know how his appt. goes in New Orleans next week.
